Any day now the Axton family is waiting for the arrival of another grandchild. Our youngest son Morgan and his wife Nicole are expecting their first son, Jordan Scott any day or hour.
Yesterday in our services at Brooklake Church we also had several "births". I think about 10-12 people made a decision to become followers of Jesus! The Bible says they have been "born again" when in their heart they decided to to say yes to Jesus, to follow His lead for their life. It never gets boring for me, I never take those decision for granted. Every time someone decides to step across the line I get overwhelmed emotionally. It is the cry of my heart to be faithful to Gods calling for Brooklake, to be a place to encourage people to become followers of Jesus Christ. It seems like every week people make that decision. Added on to that we got to baptized about 14 people. Often we have said decision determine destiny. Those decision we make in our heart change the direction or keep us on the path we are on. Those 10-12 people who crossed over the line yesterday, their destiny has been changed.
I think of all the people who make Brooklake a safe place for people to investigate what it means to be a follower of Jesus, and I say a big thank you. Thank you for thinking about others more than yourself. Thank you pursuing Gods purposes for this time and place. Thank you for giving financially so that people feel safe. I could on and on but it's Monday my day off and I've got this "honey do list" I've got to get done. I wonder what God has in store this week for you and I?
