Okay it's 10 am Sunday morning here in India and 8:30pm Saturday night in Washington. Let me give you a little run down our the trip so far. Because of a potential strike by the flight attendants of British Air we were rerouted to United. We flew to Chicago and the after a three hour lay over on to London. The flight to London was a mere 8 hours but a good one. We had lots of room to be comfortable. I think I was being set up for the next leg of the trip, let's continue on. Arrived in London and checked with British Airlines, they thought we were on another flight, the day before. I reminded them of their change of plans for us and finally they found our paid reservations. Proceeded on to the terminal in London and discover a wonderful surprise, Starbucks, just like home. Now it gets interesting. The plane was packed. I know I am not small but I got the honor to sit in the middle with very little leg space. Oh did I tell you this was a ten hour flightand still no sleep? Got to know the guys on each side of me. They were great. Learned a lot about India and their view of the world. One guy is a robot engineer and other is in commerical banking in New York. Oh, did I also mention that I was one row behind three babies who had great vocal cords? I felt sorry for their parents. I remember those days with our kids. I have to believe I had a divine appointment but I am still trying to figure it out. We arrived in Madris India at 1:30am local time. We went to the luggage area, waited for our baggage to come, we waited and waited. There was no more luggage coming out and we were the last ones there. It seems our luggauge decided not to join us on the London to India part of the trip. After filling out forms and taking with several people they found our luggage and it will join us on Tuesday, remember it's Sunday morning and I didn't bring any clothes with me on board the plane, oh well. We then proceed to catch our next leg of the trip from Madris to Bangalore. To our surprise our tickets were canceled. Now keep this in mind, British Air made these arangement for us because of the potential strike. Well after two hours, we finally got things resolved, it just take so much longer. I wanted to jump right in and fix everything but that would not be good. We barely made that flight but we did arrive in Bangalore. Our lay over here is 8 hours and then we fly to Mangalore to teach at the conference. To kill some time we've gone to a hotel to get some breakfest, where I am right now. Had a great breakfest, lots of interesting food, I tried everything. I hope to get some sleep in about 6 hours and wake up at 5:00 am local time,to watch some of the superbowl game if I can find a place connected. Yet, as I write this there is a stiring inside of me, I don't think it's good. Oh one more item. Right after last Sunday I got sick, Melody insisted I go see a doctor on Tuesday and sure enough I had an infection. The Doc gave me some high power anitbiotics and some other stuff to take. Without that I would be a basketcase. Oh one more thing I discover they don't use TP over here. Imagine that, well on second thought don't. Did I tell you I brought some along with me, I was prepared, oh that's right the luggage hasn't joined me yet. This could be interesting. Well got to go, there tis his stiring thing happening again.
My prayer it that God would use Scott and I to inspired these 1,500 leaders to be all that God wants them to be. I conitue to ask God for His guidance and I thank Him for you.
